06 Oct Brain washing can be good
Miles of uninterrupted Lake Michigan beach lay before me on my morning run.
I looked to the north and then to the south.
Save for footprints in the sand of a man with his dog long departed and a lone fishing boat far on the horizon, amazingly there was no other sign of human activity.
The waves lapped at my feet trying to trap me as I went along. Nothing and nobody else interrupted my thoughts.
In this connected world of always on social media, there’s something to be said for solitude.
It washes one’s brain.
